Name: HEIMASCHÜTZER LANGE (“Faule Bertha”) Physical Description: The primary site of the supergun installation known as Heimtaschutzer Lange is located in the Seme fortress system close to the seat of power of the Northern Baronies of Metzergernstein. It is an underground facility built into the ice sheets of Lange, one of the moons orbiting the gas giant known as Fortress Sarmat. It is protected by 11 kilometers of methane ice into which has been installed a deep array of passive and dynamic protection measures. The upper layers of this dynamic protection array include a set of ‘nuclear ERA’ self-defense casaba howitzers and shaped charges; the lower layers are mostly interleaved sheets of metal-polymer plates.
